      Rushing to Wi-Fi 6 high-speed wireless network, Sundray's first 802.11AX wireless AP

      2019-10-29

If the 5G network can provide a faster and smoother network experience, Wi-Fi 6 is a wireless network upgrade in a specific area. However, compared to 5G, Wi-Fi 6 can make you feel the upgraded fast network in a short time.

Although Wi-Fi 6 applications need to upgrade routers and terminal devices, 5G needs to build more base stations and upgrade terminal devices to achieve real results. Wi-Fi6 applications will have lower thresholds. Therefore, some experts predict that Wi-Fi 6 may be officially popularized before the 5G network.

In fact, on September 16, the International WIFI Alliance has announced the official opening of the Wi-Fi 6 certification program. According to the data released by the Wi-Fi Alliance, Wi-Fi 6 will support up to 9.6Gbps network speed and can support terminal devices at the same time. Devices use the same network at the same time and have better signal coverage. In addition, Wi-Fi 6 will also extend the life of the device and better ensure security.

Recently, three new phones released by Apple have been able to support Wi-Fi 6 without supporting 5G. Aside from its actual technical reasons, many people are wondering: How does Wi-Fi 6 go ahead of 5G? Let's talk about the black technology behind the Wi-Fi 6 fast network.

      1、1024QAM

Wi-Fi 5 can determine 256 QAM areas by wireless signal, and Wi-Fi 6 is upgraded to 1024 QAM areas. The more QAM areas, the more data will be transmitted and the natural network speed will increase further.

      2、OFDMA

Unlike Wi-Fi5, which uses OFDM technology, Wi-Fi 6 introduces OFDMA technology. OFDMA divides the radio channel into multiple subchannels in the frequency domain, and user data is carried on each resource block instead of occupying the entire channel. Multiple terminals can transmit in parallel at the same time, without having to wait in line and compete with each other, thereby improving efficiency and reducing latency.

      3、BSS Coloring

In densely populated areas, cumbersome wireless signal interference will affect people's network experience. To this end, Wi-Fi 6 tackled the problem of multi-user interference and added a technology called BSS Coloring. After connecting to Wi-Fi, the mobile phone wireless signal will add the tag information of the Wi-Fi hotspot, and reduce the range of signal transmission to the coverage of the Wi-Fi hotspot to reduce signal interference.

      4、TWT

The upgrade from 4G to 5G will inevitably lead to an increase in power consumption, while the upgrade of Wi-Fi 6 further reduces energy consumption. Wi-Fi 6 uses a feature called TWT (Target Wake-up Time) that allows the terminal device to go to sleep without data transmission, saving up to 7 times the battery power.

Due to its high bandwidth, high concurrency, and low latency, Wi-Fi 6 will give help for high-density concurrent and high-capacity access scenarios in the future, and enhance the emerging applications of large bandwidth and low latency such as AR/MR and 4K live games. Such as stadiums, auditoriums, large supermarkets, convention centers, concerts and other large high-density scenes, as well as AR/VR/MR, 4K/8K HD live broadcast, online VR interaction, telemedicine, remote HD conference, remote maintenance, AGV robot Such as smart applications.

In order to promote the application of Wi-Fi 6 technology in enterprise-level scenarios, Sundray Technology has launched the 802.11AX wireless AP access point: NAP-5820-X, which is based on the latest 802.11AX standard and supports 8x8 MU-MIMO technology. OFDMA technology, and 1024QAM modulation and demodulation algorithm, the maximum speed of the whole machine can reach 6 Gbps. The performance of the specific parameters, the product uses 8 * 8 stream design, 5G link uplink, 8 user channel downlink, 2.4G RF maximum transmission rate 1.2Gbps, 5G RF transmission rate 4.8Gbps, the maximum transmission rate of the whole machine reaches 6 Gbps, can support more than 200 concurrent terminals.

The Sundray NAP-5820-X uses a 5G Ethernet port uplink to provide higher transmission bandwidth, while 802.11AX-based Wi-Fi 6 technology is designed to provide a higher-speed, high-throughput wireless network for APs. Improve online experience for more users in a crowded wireless environment.

In the future, Sundray will continue to develop and innovate to meet the needs of more user-oriented scenarios and help more enterprise-level users to achieve network upgrades.
